For those of you who have visited the site before a big welcome back, and for those of you visiting for the first time an even bigger HELLO!
This site is designed to help those just starting out learning the Welsh language.It is not linked to any specific course but is more geared to the language as spoken in South Wales as opposed to North Wales. The principle reason for this is that I am learning Welsh in South Wales and this site is as much to help me learn as it is you.
I hope to be able to introduce myself by using Welsh examples over the coming months but for now my name is David and this September will see me starting my second year learning Welsh on the Cwrs Sylfaen.
The biggest problem I had and still have is that of confidence when it comes to learning Welsh. I admit to finding it very hard to use Welsh for fear of making a prat of myself and it took a lot of persistence and even more prodding by loved ones to get me to the point of feeling even slightly confident. By starting this site I gave myself a reason to continue and even though the site suffered from a period of technical problems (now fixed I hope) I enjoy learning Welsh by putting together this site.
